Featured Artists

From the 1900s, there were a number of Chinese art students pursuing academic training in Scottish institutions. Although some prominent Chinese artists from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and elsewhere participated in exhibitions, workshops and other cultural events in Scotland, Scottish universities, museums and galleries did not enthusiastically engage or collaborate with Chinese artists and institutions until the beginning of the 21st century. Highlights of Chinese artists who have once studied, visited or exhibited their art in Scotland are shown below to show a variety of their creative endeavours.
