During her time at ECA, Cat developed a deep fascination for ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock print) technique and Surrealism. She also immersed herself in exploring contemporary illustration, seeking inspirations from a wide range of sources. Following her graduation, Cat embarked on a journey to trace the roots of illustration, studying the works of esteemed artists such as Honore Daumier, Gustave Doré, Norman Rockwell, and E. H. Shepard.
